RMLEB Welcomes New Researcher

The non-profit eye bank is excited for the future as they welcome a new associate director of research and innovation.


Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank (RMLEB) is delighted to welcome Mohit Parekh, Ph.D. as the associate director of research and innovation at the organization based in Aurora, Colo.

New Associate Director of Research and Innovation Brings a Depth of Knowledge to the Eye Bank Industry

Dr. Parekh has more than 15 years of distinguished experience in translational vision science, eye banking, corneal transplantation, and global ophthalmic research. A recognized leader in advancing corneal preservation, lamellar keratoplasty, regenerative medicine, and AI-enabled ophthalmic innovation, he has made impactful contributions to shaping the future of modern eye banking and corneal care.

Prior to joining RMLEB, Dr. Parekh served as a research fellow at Harvard Medical School and Mass Eye and Ear, where he led pioneering work spanning corneal therapeutics, eye bank innovation, and disease mechanisms of Fuchs dystrophy. His collaborative work across international institutions has advanced both scientific discovery and clinical translation in ophthalmology.

At RMLEB, Dr. Parekh will lead efforts focused on research excellence, innovation strategy, translational science, and next-generation technologies aimed at strengthening eye banking systems and corneal transplantation, improving outcomes for patients worldwide.
