With Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank and WyoGives Day, the power of one is heightened.

Consider giving to the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank during the annual WyoGives Day to help us restore sight and hope for those in need.

In the West, there is a culture of quiet confidence, determined resilience, and kind generosity. We take pride in supporting each other and our neighbors, a tradition rooted in the hardworking spirit of those who established our region. This giving nature continues to thrive today showcasing the power of one generous spirit.

What is WyoGives?

WyoGives Day embodies this spirit of giving. It's a powerful, statewide 24-hour online event on July 15th, uniting us as one community to support our local nonprofits. Among them is the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank (RMLEB), whose mission is to fulfill the wishes of eye donors and their families to help another overcome blindness through transplantation and research.

One day. One state. One powerful moment of generosity.

The theme of WyoGives Day 2026 is simple; yet impactful- “The power of one.” We have 24 hours to come together and see what is possible! We know that restoring sight is possible and with your contributions, we can continue to help those in need.

Make a positive impact and help where it is needed!

Did you know that cornea blindness accounts for about 12% of all blindness in the United States? With a cornea transplant, hope and sight can be restored for those suffering. Because of our dedication to this mission, eye donors across Wyoming and Colorado provide an average of 2,500 sight-restorative transplants each year.
The power of one starts with you. Consider contributing to RMLEB in the following ways:

  • $100 contribution buys a one-time use surgical kit for one eye donor.

  • $150 supports correspondence between the donor family and the cornea recipient.

  • $200 contribution covers the cost of FDA required blood testing to ensure safety for transplant recipients.

  • $300 contribution covers the cost of shipping eye tissue to surgery centers worldwide.

You can make a difference beyond July 15th.

After making a financial contribution through WyoGives, consider taking another important and meaningful step by discussing your decision to become an eye tissue donor with your family. While many are aware of organ donation, eye donation often goes undiscussed. Initiating this conversation not only informs your loved ones of your wishes but also alleviates potential burdens during emotional times.

Check your registry status. If you are already registered, there will be a heart symbol (pictured below) on your driver license or state ID. If not, it’s not too late! By choosing to be an eye tissue donor, you’re not just offering a gift of sight—you're giving hope and a future to someone in need. This small act of kindness, saying yes to being an eye donor, can become part of your legacy. Register your choice to be an eye, organ and tissue donor.
