The goal of this course is to familiarize you with the donation process, time limits, and general physiology of the human eye as it relates to cornea recovery and donation for transplantation. As a coroner, coroner's office employee, medical examiner, or law enforcement official, you play a critical public health role in the donation process and in the eye bank's recovery process, which leads to the restoration of sight for a visually impaired or blind transplant recipient.
